Milky blue eyes looked on over a dismal landscape. Dull red ground pocketed and surrounded by lava and molten rock. The horizon a mixture of purple, orange, and red with occasional red lightning. The lone hooded Argonian stood on piece of ground that was only fifteen feet in diameter, plenty of room for her to lay down not risk getting burned by the occasional pop from magma bubbles.

What was she doing here? The last gate to the Deadlands closed over 200 years ago….by her and Martin Septum’s hands. She couldn’t have gotten summoned here; the barrier would have prevented that. She looked down at her dark ruddy brown clawed hands and sighed. Of course. A talk with her “lord” while she was asleep. It was the only way now a day for the Princes’ to speak with their subordinates face to true face. Sure there were some that had managed to find a way to sneak around the barrier but they were MUCH weaker in Nirn.

Kira gave out a sighing hiss. She adjusted her dark robes and sat down with her legs crossed. It was going to be a while before he showed up; he always takes his time with her. She closed her eyes and tried to meditate, something she started doing 150 years back to help pass the time when hunting bandits, trolls, and ogres were starting to lose the essence of fun…in fact…that’s really all she ever does now is meditate. The last memory of an actual fight, the thrill of surviving and cold sweat going down her scaly neck, seem so long ago.

Till a month ago, all that had mattered to her was getting her next meal and staying out of trouble. As she thought on it now, she felt troubled. She had started to become the very thing she didn’t want to be till she was cured unwillingly, a feral vampire. Ever since then, Kira had been struggling to survive long enough to get to a settlement of some kind. She had just spotted a camp when-

“Enjoying yourself, little vampress?”

Kira’s eyes snapped opened at the dual tone gravelly voice. She slowly stood up and turned to face him, expecting to see the towering form of the four armed Prince of Destruction, Mehrunes Dagon, standing in the ocean of lava. Instead she forced herself not to take a step back when she saw he was standing on the small island of rock that she was also standing on, all four arms folded across his chest.

The only change he made to himself was his height. Naturally he would tower over even the tallest walls of the Imperial City. Right now though, he was taller than an Altmer and had more muscle than a Nord or Orc. He wore a black tunic with no sleeves and his usual armored neck brace. The tattoos on his arms and face glowed a soft yellowish orange while his eyes glowed bright yellow. The only weapon he had with him was a Daedric greatsword with a dark red sigil stone on the pummel.

He looked down at her before giving her a sly smirk, making his sharp lower canines more pronounced, “Or should I say mortal now?”

Kira gritted her teeth and gave a soft hiss. Before she could make a move of any kind, six jagged rocks jutted up around her like claws. She bared her teeth at him and hissed again. If it was possible, she would have stepped back when he came closer, reaching for her. With a strong hand, he jerked her hood off. His smirk got bigger, seeing the claw scar over her left eye. He stepped away from her and crossed his arms again. Her black feathers lowered a little as she eyed him, expecting some kind of attack.

“It has been what? Twenty years since our last…talk? And you’re still as hostile as ever.”

Kira snarled, “Get to the point, Dagon. What do you want? The last time you wished to speak with me, you wanted me to kill the main heads of the Aldemeri and the Empire.”

Dagon rolled his eyes, “Yes, which you had so vehemently declined as with every job I have given you.” He uncrossed his arms and put them behind his back, looking like a disciplined commander. “Be glad I enjoy our little…chats and watching your attempts at retaining your humanity, which you had almost lost, to end your insignificant life.”

Kira bared her teeth in a smirk, “And this insignificant life is the reason why you failed at your attempt to invade Tamrie-“

She started clawing at the rock hard arm that was attached to the hand that was now squeezing her throat. The Prince lifted her up to his face. He scowled down at her and tightened his grip for a moment before dropping her. The Argonian sat on her knees as she started coughing.

“Remember who’s your god now, mortal. Your physical form may still be in Nirn, but everything else belongs to me. My leniency to your disobedience is because of my respect to your skill has a warrior and what lengths you were willing to go through to stop me.” He crouched down and whispered to her, “But there are some things I will not take no for, such as these latest two tasks I’m giving you. If you decline…..well…you’ll be here for a long while.”

Kira’s claws clenched onto the ground below her. She slowly lifted her head to look at him directly in the eyes, “….What do you want of me?”

Dagon smiled and patted her head, “There you go, my pet.” He stood up as the rocks went back into the ground. He patted down the tunic before placing his four hands behind his back again. “One of them is…a surprise. I’m pretty sure you’ll figure out what it is on your own. Now the other one isn’t…..really much of a surprise task. You’re to going around Skyrim, completing tasks to get yourself known. Your main target audience is a man named Silus Vesuius. He comes of a long line of Mythic Dawn worshippers.” He smirked at the low growl, “Let him contact you first. He will be tasking you to retrieve the parts of my Razor. Follow what he tells you to do. I shall tell you more when the time comes.”

Kira slowly stood back up, “Is that all?”

The Daedra rubbed his chin in thought, “Mmmm….For now. Try not to get eaten.”

My apologies for this cliffhanger. If I wanted to continue, I would be in Chapter 1 ^^;
